Who are these Characters,
Mahad Mahan ArtiCarlton T every one has been talking about? Why are they so special? Are they that different from any other musical artists? Intriguing query to ponder. So what exactly is a Mahad Mahan or an ArtiCarlton T? Well accordingly, in the social sense, a "mad man" is one who does not conform to a particular mean or convention. Meaning that, if one does not think or go along with the rest of his peers, he is then labeled "mad" and is considered an outcast. So what is wrong with that? Mahad sees this branding as something to embrace.
Historically there have been many "mad" men & women. Name any major social change not to mention insurrections, or upheavals throughout history and behind it you will find a "mad man." Most of the fabled prophets through out the Bible as well as the Koran were considered "mad." Yoshua ibn Yoseph was a mad man, not to mention, Hanibal, Queen Nzinga, Nat turner, Harriet Tubbman, Shaka of the Zulus, Nobel Drew Ali, Elijah Mohammed, Marcus Garvey, El Maliek Shabazz, and so on and so on. But is there a difference between them and this mad man? Not really says Mahad Mahan, like the rest he sees things a little differently, and thinks that only a few share his insight; the eternal plight of the “Gods” or the “Neters” and the long drawn out saga of Black people; his people. He also claims to be a "runaway slave," which is a metaphor for the de-shackling of a slave or colonial mentality, which binds many of his brothers and sisters, unbeknownst to many of them.
ArtiCarlton T, “mad” in his own right, stems from the Jamaican purpose of being an “Artical Don.” No more said. His philosophies coincide with Mahad Mahan’s, one from the ethereal point of view and the other from the material, intertwining philosophies to form a deep postulate, which questions the very socio-economical condition in which we all share.
